Cricketer Pant was hurt in a car accident on Friday in the northern state of Uttarakhand and was taken to the hospital.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state's chief minister, tweeted a confirmation of the incident and best wishes for Pant, 26, for a "speedy recovery."

Shah wrote, "My prayers and thoughts are with Rishabh Pant as he battles his way back to recovery. We are keeping a careful eye on his development and will provide him all the help he needs.
