With the use of contemporary scientific technology, the visage of Ramses II, the most powerful pharaoh of ancient Egypt, has been revealed after 3200 years.

International media reported that specialists from Egypt and England worked together to rebuild the Pharaoh's visage using a 3D model.

After reconstructing the pharaoh's face to show the appearance of the time when he was at the height of his power, scientists have been able to estimate his age to within around fifty years.

Thus, using a CT scan of the pharaoh's actual skull, this is the first scientific image of the pharaoh to be produced with the aid of contemporary technology.

Sahar Salim of Cairo University developed the 3D replica of the pharaoh's head.
