The Islamabad District and Sessions Court granted PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry's request for bail on Wednesday, with the proviso that he refrain from using any language that could incite violence against a constitutional institution.
On January 25, Chaudhry was detained for allegedly "inciting violence against a constitutional institution," the Pakistani Election Commission (ECP).
At the Kohsar police station in Islamabad, a first information report (FIR) was filed against him in response to a complaint from ECP Secretary Umar Hameed.
Further Sessions The PTI leader was today granted bail in exchange for surety bonds totaling Rs 20,000 by Judge Faizan Haider Gillani.
While Saad Hassan spoke on behalf of the ECP, Fawad's legal counsel Faisal Chaudhry, Babar Awan, and Ali Bukhari were present in the court.
